Bruce Assam's Bio
Bruce Assam is the President and CEO of Holiday Builders, Inc.
Mr. Assam joined the company in October of 2006 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to his current role in August 2009. He brings to his role more than fifteen years of leadership experience in corporate finance, operations, entrepreneurial development, start-ups and mergers. He has excelled in the successful acquisition and restructuring of mid-size and Fortune 500 financial institutions. In addition to his role as President and CEO, Mr. Assam also serves on Holiday Builders’ Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.
Responsible for the strategic leadership of Holiday Builders’ executive team and the development of the company’s long-range goals, Mr. Assam has initiated expansion into new markets and new business arenas; endeavors that have awarded the company numerous commercial construction and affordable housing projects, strengthening the company’s footing during the current real-estate market downturn. Through implementation of his innovative design for streamlining the business model and centralizing operations, Holiday Builders more effectively and efficiently serves its customers, trade-partners and employee-owners.
Mr. Assam has been featured and quoted in articles published by Big Builder, Professional Builder, and Builder magazines, and is a frequent speaker and roundtable guest at industry conferences and seminars such as the Big Builder Show and the NAHB International Builders Show. In November 2007, Big Builder awarded Mr. Assam its APEX Award, recognizing his exceptional leadership, vision, innovation and social responsibility.
Prior to joining Holiday Builders in 2006, Mr. Assam was the Operations Manager for Shelter Mortgage where he implemented the start-up of Florida’s Southwest Coast Branch. Prior to that, as Vice President of Finance for the Consumer Lending Division of Banco Popular North America, he was responsible for $1.2 billion dollars of the North America Division assets.
Mr. Assam is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and has attended various management development courses at the University of Delaware and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.
